My inspiration comes in many forms: art, music, books, but mostly from time spent amongst nature, alone and quiet, observing. I enjoy the meditative state it brings and I am seduced by its beauty.
I have early memories of a curiosity to closely examine how leaves, flowers and petals are constructed and would often spend many hours as a child with a pencil and a little note book, studying and recording what I found.
I feel my photography is my way of picking up where I left off, continuing the journey I began in my childhood.
To me, photography is more than just using a camera. It is the ability to capture a precise moment when you recognise something amazing has happened.
